Latin Pop Phenomena arrives in the United States

Miami, FL May 23, 2008.– Wason arrived in the U.S. today offering his audience in this country the opportunity to get to know this gifted singer/songwriter, an artist who promises to earn a place among the greats of his genre. The Dominican artist commences his tour this afternoon, which tour will take him through the North East and subsequently to Southern Florida.

His unique compositional and performance styles are immediately evident. Wason is the type of performer that woos his listeners from his first utterance because of what he says and how he says it.

Y se murió de pena la paloma que en el parque se paraba a vernos compartir, a vernos sonreír / Y se me puso vaga la sonrisa y unos besos se oxidaron, porque eran para ti yo no te los di” (And the dove who used to see us together in the park, who watched us smile, died of a broken heart/and my smile turned lazy and my kisses rusted away because they were for you and I did not give them to you) states the refrain from “Se murió de pena”, the third single from the record “Armadura de Rosas”, Wason’s debut venture as soloist.

During the next few days we will be able to hear him live, on the radio as well as television. The tour commences this Sunday, May 25th, with a live performance at the Festival Hola Radio in Pennsylvania, and will continue throughout the next week in selected cities in the states of New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

He will then arrive in Miami to participate in a flurry of radio interviews, television programs, Internet interviews, and interviews with the best of the international press.

Wason’s talent shines not only for his compositional skills, but as a charismatic performer as well. (An exclusive songwriter with Premium Latin Music, Wason has chalked up numerous hits and is a repeated ASCAP award winner). His passionate and contemporary style as member of Negros was key in breaking records for pop groups in Wason’s country of origin, the Dominican Republic.

His debut as soloist has not gone unnoticed. Wason´s  particular contribution marks a nouveau tendency in the genre of Latin Pop. Wason writes and sings directly from the heart.

His new record was produced and released by Premium Latin Music, Inc.
